Trustees approved a joint assessment with Franklin County for joint branch district 100‑2 totaling $7,391.27, with Wright County’s share listed as $1,995.64. The motion to approve the joint assessment was made by a Wright County supervisor and seconded by a Franklin County supervisor; the motion carried.
Trustees also approved a multi‑county assessment for the "Big 4" drainage districts (four counties combined) with a total assessment of $142,723.02; Wright County’s portion was recorded as $6,571.63. Trustees noted the work had been completed and claims submitted by the lead county; the motion to approve that assessment carried.
The board reviewed and approved several work orders reported by engineers. Earlier in the meeting, trustees reviewed three work orders for DD 62 (Section 36, Eagle Grove Township) to lower a surface drain, DD 97 (main in Sections 2 and 3, Vernon Township) for a tile blowout on 24‑inch tile, and DD 30 (Section 29, Pleasant Township) for another tile blowout. Later the board approved two additional work orders: one in Subgrange District 58 (Section 25, Norway Township) for a main tile blowout reported by Kent Kerstein, and a joint drain work order for Joint District 121‑54 (tile blowout for Marvin Rodenius). Motions to approve the work orders passed.
County staff presented the spreadsheet for 2025 drainage assessments; the trustees confirmed administrative funds to be collected this year total $29,335 and approved spreading eligible districts for up to 10 years where applicable. Trustees signed assessment paperwork and motions to approve the assessments carried.
Trustees also approved routine drainage bookkeeping and adjourned the drainage‑trustee portion of the meeting before reconvening as the Board of Supervisors.
