Commissioners approve three resolutions, schedule public hearing on comp plan and approve consent agenda

The Board of County Commissioners approved three resolutions presented on Feb. 25: Resolution 2025‑16 establishing and appointing Ag Protection Area Commissioners; Resolution 2025‑17 approving February 2025 alcohol licenses; and Resolution 2025‑18 approving February 2025 salaries. A commissioner moved to approve the resolutions as stated and the motion carried by voice vote.
The board also approved a public hearing notice for the comprehensive plan and sediment erosion control ordinance, scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 11 a.m. in the county chamber.
Under letters and notices, the commission authorized a tax cancellation signature requested by the assessor and approved the consent agenda, which included a certificate of residency denial, salary rate approval forms and minutes from several February meetings. One commissioner abstained from approving minutes for a meeting they said they did not attend; the remainder of the consent agenda was approved by voice vote.
All votes for the resolutions, public hearing notice, tax cancellation signature and consent agenda were recorded as voice votes in the transcript (commissioners answered “aye”).
