Bannock County approves fuel contract and multiple construction change orders

A commissioner expressed concern about automatic refills and price‑change risk; Crystal replied the multiple ordering options give flexibility and that county staff (Buddy at Bridal Bridge) will monitor the system as monitors are installed.

Crystal also recommended approval of a change order with Centimeters Company for relocated bollards, 88 push buttons mounted on bollards for access, additional sidewalks to correct slope changes and other final adjustments; she described it as “the last anticipated change order.” Commissioners asked about a $2,500 “sidewalk condition minimum rate” and the $3,782 net change the county will pay under the modified contract. Crystal said Centimeters Company will cover the subcontractor invoice to Sierra Bend Construction and that the county’s additional payment for this change order is $3,782. One commissioner asked about frost heave remediation; Crystal said Centimeters and county staff are monitoring heaves and will return after weather settles to repour or adjust as needed. Warranty for labor and materials was described as one year.
Finally, the board approved a Headwaters Construction change order to add exterior lighting and install three 3‑phase breakers on three poles for the Event Center YDC Building. A commissioner made the motion and the board approved it by voice vote.
