Committee members reported July 17 that a pilot pedestrian flag program is active on Chemawa at Fifteenth and is being monitored, and that neighborhood volunteers are tracking flag availability and feedback. At the same time the committee reviewed a broad list of proposed green paint locations for high‑visibility bicycle/pedestrian crossings; members said the budget committee did not fund the paint proposals during the current budgeting cycle.
