Senate Bill 209 would require that a school district retain its owner's project manager (the district's project manager for construction projects) before applying for state building aid. Sponsor Senator Daryl Abbas said the requirement is a housekeeping measure intended to improve project budgeting and oversight by having the project's manager involved from the application stage.
