Worth County sets bid schedule for conservation facility remodel (Resolution 2024-49)

The Worth County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Resolution 2024-49 to set dates and procedures for receiving sealed bids for a conservation facility remodel project.

Resolution 2024-49 delegates the county auditor and project engineers to receive bids before 11 a.m. on Jan. 21 and to open and announce bids on Jan. 27, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in the board chambers at the Worth County Courthouse in Northwood. The resolution fixes bid security at 5% and directs the auditor to post notice of the bid letting at least once in a relevant contractor plan-room service, statewide circulation and on a county or statewide association internet site; posting shall be no less than 13 clear days and no more than 45 days prior to the Jan. 21, 2025 bid date.

A motion to approve the resolution was made, seconded and adopted by roll-call vote. During roll call the supervisors recorded “Aye” for the resolution. The action repeals conflicting provisions of prior resolutions and authorizes the auditor to carry out notice and bid-receipt duties.

The resolution formalizes the county’s procurement steps for the conservation facility remodel and directs staff to follow the posting and security requirements stated in the resolution. No contract awards were made at the meeting; the item sets the administrative timeline for receiving and evaluating bids.
