Task force names implementation working group, notes two vacancies and sets regular meetings

The Water Forward Task Force confirmed membership for an implementation working group to support plan implementation and said the group will meet in months when the full task force does not convene.

Staff announced that Vanessa Quigg Williams resigned from the task force because she has taken on the chair role at the Barton Springs‑Edwards Aquifer Conservation District, leaving two vacancies (District 8 and an unfilled council appointment). Staff reminded members a quorum of six is required for the full task force.

Current working‑group membership listed by staff includes Paul, Jennifer, Bill, Haney and Perry. Members discussed a recurring meeting cadence (the second Tuesday in months without a full task force meeting) at noon for one hour and suggested a March implementation working‑group meeting; staff said they will follow up on bylaws and quorum implications for working‑group participation and member attendance.

Administrative note: Staff said some administrative processes (for example, city‑clerk provisioning of official member email addresses) have been limited by the task force’s temporary status; if the task force is reclassified as a standing board, staff said those processes would need to be aligned with city clerk requirements.
