The Boca Raton Planning and Zoning Board on Jan. 16 unanimously recommended approval of an amendment to the interim design guidelines (IDG) that govern downtown quality projects reviewed under the Downtown Development of Regional Impact (DRI) development order. The amendment adjusts the architectural bay standards used to break up long building facades, giving architects more flexibility to meet the ordinance’s goals of avoiding long, unarticulated walls along the street.
