Planning Commission hears update on Salinas General Plan draft, schedules next outreach and council study session
Staff said the general plan update is nearing an administrative draft and noted a City Council study session on Jan. 27 to discuss the economic development element; planners plan a public review draft and further steering committee meetings.

City planning staff told the Salinas Planning Commission on Jan. 15 that the city is in the final stages of preparing an administrative draft of the General Plan update and expects to release a public review draft in the near term. Courtney Grossman, planning manager, said legal review of the last chapter was completed the prior week and staff will reconvene the steering committee when the public review draft is available.
