Bannock County administers oaths for four elected officials

The administering official concluded the oath with, "So help me God."
Ernest "Ernie" Moser also took the oath to serve as a Bannock County commissioner, repeating the pledge to support the U.S. Constitution and state laws and to faithfully discharge the duties of the office.
Tony Manu was sworn in as Bannock County sheriff. Manu repeated the oath language — including the pledges to the federal and state constitutions and to faithfully discharge the duties of the sheriff's office — and concluded with the customary "So help me God."
Ian Johnson was sworn in as Bannock County prosecutor and repeated the oath, pledging to support the U.S. Constitution and state laws and to discharge the duties of the prosecutor's office "according to the best of my ability." Signatures and documents were completed after the oaths.
The administering official noted the event was part of the transition to the newly elected officials. No votes or motions were recorded during the ceremony; the event consisted of the formal administration of oaths and subsequent signing of oath documents.
