Council pulls workforce development contract for further review

Councilmembers on Thursday pulled a proposed FY 2024–2025 workforce development agreement supporting reentry and employment services to allow additional review of a vendor evaluation and contract details.
Councilmember Perez said she had been reviewing a 40-page contract and requested more time and supporting evaluation documents before voting. Perez said she had been in contact with Graham Scott, director of the Workforce Development Board, and asked that the evaluation of the vendor’s first-year performance be shared with council.
Ed Nixon, acting director for the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, told council staff would place the contract and evaluation on the city’s GBA (governance board agenda) platform so members could review them ahead of Monday’s general meeting.
