Bonner County approves $10,000 Safety Plus training contract to replace ThinkZoom platform

Bonner County approved a one-year Safety Plus safety-training software contract for $10,000 at the county commissioners’ business meeting. Human Resources and Risk Management staff said the purchase will replace the HSI ThinkZoom platform previously used for new-hire and refresher training.
Staff told the board the Safety Plus contract was recommended after six vendor demonstrations attended by several department heads. The contract will be paid from the Tort 024-6490 education fund in quarterly payments of $2,500. Risk management noted that HR would still provide supplemental, department-specific training to ensure training objectives are met beyond the online modules.
The motion to approve the contract was made from the chair, seconded, and approved following a roll-call vote. The staff summary stated the item had been reviewed by legal, HR, risk, and auditing.
