Items forwarded or approved with committee action included:
• Conflict-of-interest code amendment (Form 700 updates) — Item 1: The committee voted to forward an ordinance updating designated positions and disclosure categories for Form 700 filing requirements to the full Board of Supervisors with a positive recommendation. Committee members moved the item and it passed without objection.
• Citizens Committee on Community Development appointment — Item 3: Clinton Loftin (term expiring Feb. 23, 2027 for one seat) was nominated and the committee forwarded his appointment with a positive recommendation; the vote passed without objection.
• Early Childhood Community Oversight and Advisory Committee appointment — Item 4: Cindy Lopez Chastain was forwarded for Seat 8 (term ending Oct. 8, 2026) with a positive recommendation; the motion passed without objection.
• Administrative Code amendment on property-tax refunds — Item 5: The committee forwarded an administrative-code change authorizing the tax collector to refund property taxes of less than $10,000 to the assessor or latest recorded owner when there has been no transfer of property during or since the fiscal year in question; the committee recommended forwarding the item to the full board with a positive recommendation.

The tax-collector’s office representative told the committee the change is intended to streamline monthly filings and will not change tax liability, collection responsibility or revenue; operators would still be required to track their unaccounted ticket ratio and the city retains audit powers.
