Tennessee Promise rules loosen timing for community-service hours; committee advances change

The Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) presented a minor rule change to Tennessee Promise requiring community service. The update allows students to "bank" community-service hours completed during the summer or other times and apply those hours to semester requirements rather than requiring community service be completed during the specific semester.
