Development Services reports three emergency demolitions after January fires
Summary
Development Services told the Building Standards Board that three fire‑damaged structures (207 Crest Hill Road, 514 Shalei Avenue and 215 Dorsey Street) were demolished as emergency actions in late January and no further Board action is needed.
Alice Guajardo, development services manager for code enforcement, reported to the Building Standards Board on Feb. 13 that three fire‑damaged structures were removed as emergency demolitions in late January.
Guajardo said the structure at 207 Crest Hill Road was demolished as an emergency on Jan. 27 following a fire on Jan. 22; 514 Shalei Avenue was demolished Jan. 28 after a Jan. 16 fire; and 215 Dorsey Street was demolished Jan. 30 after a Jan. 24 fire. She said the demolitions were taken under Chapter 6, Article 8, and that “no further action is needed by the board at this time.”
The report included brief identification of the properties and the dates of demolition and the code section cited by staff. Board members asked no follow‑up questions immediately after the report.
