Klamath County board approves multiple appointments, routine contracts and a property closing authorization

At its Jan. 7 meeting, the Klamath County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine orders and contracts, including multiple appointments to special road district boards, a maintenance agreement for a Community Corrections copier and authorization for the county property manager to sign closing documents on a property sale.

Appointments approved by voice vote included:

- Craig Huntsman to the Pine Grove Highland Special Road District Board (item 10.2). - Ron Thiel and Tina Crum to the Woodland Park Special Road District Board (item 10.3). - Sashina Kurfman to the Cedar Trail Special Road District Board (item 10.4). - Robert Holland, Brian Taylor and Tina Gray to the 2 Rivers North Special Road District Board (item 10.5). - Larry Johnson to the Sun Forest Estates Special Road District Board (item 10.6).

Community Corrections presented a maintenance agreement with Canon Solutions America for the department's copier. Staff said the 38-month lease had ended and the department elected to purchase a maintenance agreement; the cost metrics reported to the board were $0.007476 per black-and-white copy and $0.04501 per color copy. The board approved the agreement and authorized the department head to sign.

On property matters, staff said the board previously approved a purchase-and-sale agreement with Summers Crossing LLC (approved 10/29/2024) for map tax lot number 38093500-00400 and that the property is presently in escrow. The board authorized County Property Manager Rick Bond to sign closing documents on behalf of Klamath County; commissioners approved the authorization by voice vote and recorded no fiscal impact.

All appointments and routine items passed by voice vote with no additional conditions noted in the meeting record.
