Council approves multiple routine items, selects HTX as park partner and OKs engineering contract for Pecan Knoll wells

Fulshear City Council on Jan. 28 voted on a series of routine and substantive measures, approving an array of consent and business items including the designation of a recognized sports association for Eagle Landing Park, adoption of updated parks and utility fees, approval of a services agreement tied to an annexation, and authorization of engineering services for off‑site wells for the Pecan Knoll water plant.

Council opened the meeting, moved through citizen comments and staff reports, then approved the consent agenda in a single motion. The council then recessed for and returned from an executive session under Section 551.087 of the Texas Open Meetings Act and proceeded with the business agenda.

Key actions taken: - Approved HTX Soccer as the Recognized Sports Association (RSA) for Eagle Landing Park for a two‑year initial term. Staff said Fulshear Sports Association scored highest on staff evaluations but the Parks & Recreation Commission vote tied. Council member Johnson moved the HTX motion and the motion carried.
