The council unanimously approved on second reading an amendment to the Southwestern University planned-unit-development for about 68.9993 acres at the northeast corner of State Highway 29 and Smith Creek Road, changing the base zoning to a PUD with C‑3 as the base zoning.

City staff returned a proposed amendment to the Southwestern University planned-unit-development (referred to in the presentation as 2025-1 PUD) for second reading and council action. The ordinance reads to amend roughly 68.9993 acres in the William Addison survey, Abstract No. 21, located at the northeast corner of State Highway 29 and Smith Creek Road, changing the designation from planned unit development (base zoning RS) to planned unit development with a general commercial C‑3 base.
