Price Avenue striping pilot outreach underway; committee to review feedback in November

Summary
Staff said letters will go to prior recipients to solicit feedback on the Price Avenue striping pilot with responses due by the end of the month; the item is expected on the November agenda for a possible recommendation and painting is likely deferred until spring.
Emily, a borough staff member, told the committee on Oct. 10 that reminder letters will be sent to residents who received notices in April about the Price Avenue striping pilot. Recipients have been asked to submit feedback by the end of the month; staff will compile responses and present them to the committee in November for a possible recommendation to cancel or proceed with the pilot.
Emily said responses are being collected in SharePoint and that staff will also publicize the outreach in the borough newsletter. Committee members noted that, because of winter weather, repainting and permanent crosswalk work would likely be deferred until spring; staff said they could respray and refresh from existing paint in the short term if directed.
The committee was also told the active transportation-plan steering committee meets Oct. 29 and will present a finalized plan then. No formal action was taken; staff expects to return the Price Avenue pilot to the committee next month with compiled community feedback.
