Alex Curran of Dream Studios Lab & Academy asked the committee for seed CDBG support to pilot a technical arts and media training program in the Kin Building that would teach video production, podcasting and theater technical skills. Curran framed the program as a workforce pathway aligned with Wisconsin’s recent expansion of film incentives and described a phased approach: an initial cohort of 12–20 students producing a weekly Kenosha Community News show, selling local sponsorships, and learning production, editing and business‑development skills.
