Council adopts updates to Orting Municipal Code Title 10 for building and construction

The Orting City Council voted unanimously on Oct. 29 to adopt updates to Title 10 of the Orting Municipal Code, which regulates building and construction. The ordinance (presented as AB 25‑78) was described in the packet and staff said councilmember requested changes had been incorporated.
Councilmember Moore said he reviewed the packet and commended staff for the presentation. Several council members confirmed their edits were included and endorsed adopting the ordinance. The motion to adopt ordinance number 25‑11‑48 passed on voice vote with a recorded 7–0 outcome.
The ordinance updates the city’s building and construction code sections; the packet and staff report contain detail on the adopted changes and an effective date was set as part of the ordinance adoption.
