Board approves SRO contract amendment, personnel actions, Title I agreements and Planbook deal

The Citrus County School Board on the morning of the special meeting approved a cluster of routine but policy-relevant items, including an amendment to the 2025–26 School Resource Officer (SRO) financial contract, human-resources personnel recommendations, Title I equitable-service agreements with neighboring counties and a master technology agreement with Planbook Inc.
Chief Montgomery asked the board to approve a first amendment to the 2025–26 SRO financial contract; staff said the principal change clarified which government entity pays for services (Citrus County rather than the Board of County Commissioners) and adjusted wording to distinguish the school district from the school board. A motion to approve the amendment was moved and seconded and carried on voice vote.
Human-resources staff presented recommended support and instructional hires and assignments as listed on the ‘goldenrod’ and the board approved them. Board members asked that staff follow up and notify the board when outcomes of suspensions or reassignments are resolved.
The board also approved intercounty agreements to provide equitable Title I services to nonpublic students with Marion and Hernando counties (Sumter was expected to follow in a later meeting). Staff said the agreements reflect standard interlocal language and that participating counties likewise approve reciprocal agreements in their meetings.
Finally, the board approved a master-technology agreement between the School Board of Citrus County and Planbook Inc. for the 2025–26 school year. Staff explained Planbook is typically purchased school-by-school (often using Title I funds) and that the master agreement simply enables individual schools to buy the product if they choose.
All four items were approved after brief discussion and on voice votes; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript.
