CRA approves revised $15.2M South End appropriations; staff says majority is forward-looking

The agency approved a revised capital-improvement appropriation for the South End district, with staff projecting roughly $15.2 million at fiscal year end and noting most of that is for future projects.
The Jacksonville Beach Community Redevelopment Agency voted Oct. 27 to adopt the revised South End capital improvement budget and related year-end appropriations.
Taylor and Ashley presented the revision and said the South End is projected to have about $15,200,000 in fund balance at the end of the fiscal year. Staff reported that approximately 92.2% of that balance is allocated to forward-looking projects and about 7.8% to projects already approved. Board members complimented visible corridor improvements along Jacksonville Drive.
After brief discussion the board moved, seconded and approved the revised appropriation by roll call. Recorded votes in favor included Megan Edwards, Todd Mosley, Kevin Myers, Ron Waddington and Gerard Pankow.
Staff said the revised appropriation will be entered into the South End CIP and that staff will continue to track projects and report on implementation and timing to the board.
