Wausau Public Service (WPS) requested a new easement on Packer Drive so each facility currently served by a shared gas line can have dedicated service lines. Chris, identified in the meeting as the WPS representative, said the change would separate service to the juvenile facility and Sunnyvale Park.
Chris said WPS did not indicate an intent to abandon the existing easement but that abandonment might be considered once a final utility map is provided. Chair Gibbs moved to approve the new easement with the expectation that staff would follow up with WPS on final mapping and potential abandonment of the old easement; Supervisor Poole seconded. The motion carried on a voice vote.
The committee asked staff to follow up with WPS for a final map showing the new easement alignment and to consider abandonment of the existing easement if it no longer serves other lines or customers.
