Council denies developer's sidewalk escrow arrangement for Cedar Ridge Phase 1
After debate over long‑term costs and CIP workload, the council voted to deny the proposed subdivision improvement agreement that would have escrowed sidewalk funds at 110% for future construction along County Roads 425 and 427.

At the council meeting on Oct. 27, Joseph Cotton, director of public works, explained a proposed subdivision improvement agreement for Cedar Ridge Phase 1 that would allow the developer to escrow funds instead of building sidewalks now. Cotton said the escrow would be calculated at 110 percent of the estimated construction cost so future sidewalks could be built when the county or city improved County Roads 425 and 427.
