The Santa Rosa County School Board on Oct. 9 approved a tentative agreement with the Santa Rosa Professional Educators (SRPE) on the distribution of the TESA salary increase allocation. The agreement was ratified by SRPE members (reported ratification of about 97% at the meeting) and the board voted to implement the distribution, directing Human Resources to enter job codes and process payments for eligible employees.
At the same meeting the board approved administrative leave with pay for two personnel cases pending investigation (case numbers presented in the personnel agenda). The board also approved the October out-of-field report and the ESOL out-of-field report, and accepted other standard human-resources items presented in the addendum.
Superintendent Dr. Barber and HR staff said the MOU will result in expedited salary adjustments for eligible teachers and that HR would be responsible for manual entry of job codes to implement the increases. Board members thanked bargaining teams for reaching a quick agreement. Motions on these items carried unanimously.
