HMIS: 3,585 people experienced homelessness in September; 131 moved into permanent housing

Hannah, HMIS analyst, reported to the Homelessness Planning Council that in September 3,585 people experienced homelessness in Nashville, including 284 families (537 children) and 2,634 adult-only households. The National Rescue Mission served 1,422 people in HMIS that month.
Housing exits: In September, 131 people moved from homelessness into permanent housing. That total included 15 families with 27 children and 76 adult-only households. Agencies with the most households housed that month were the Nashville Rescue Mission (19 households), Operation Stand Down (16) and Oasis Center (8).
The HMIS report was presented without a formal vote. Council members received the figures and concluded the meeting following the presentation.
