RTA launches 10‑year comprehensive operational analysis, seeks public input

Kristin Orsinski, chief executive officer of the Riverside County Transportation Authority, told the board on Oct. 23 that the agency has started a comprehensive operational analysis (COA), branded "Vision Forward," to evaluate transit service over a 10‑year horizon and identify potential changes to service and operations.

Orsinski said the project has a fact sheet and a project website being prepared, and staff will distribute a social media toolkit for board members and city channels to share. She said staff will be out in the community to solicit feedback on transit needs. The CEO also reminded board members of a holiday luncheon for the agency's T Now program on Dec. 19 at the University of California, Riverside.

Orsinski thanked staff and local organizers for recent community events, noted the agency's rodeo attendance reached an estimated 425 people (up from 350 last year), and asked directors and staff to participate in outreach. She also noted breast cancer awareness messaging and asked members to join for a group photo after the meeting.

The CEO's remarks framed the COA as a planning and outreach effort; she emphasized that staff will return with recommendations as the study progresses.
