Mayor Jeff Cajano moved to adopt resolutions listed as items 5 a through 5 n in a single motion; after pulling two items to correct a street name, the council approved the consolidated resolutions (items A–J and M–N) by roll call. The resolutions on the table included appropriations and authorizations for projects such as Persuasion High School target alterations, Persuasion Central alterations and roof/mechanical work, Rockwell Park revitalization, the animal control facility, and the Bridal Street retaining wall, among others.
Separately, the council approved a resolution appropriating $929,750 for replacement of the Andrew Street culvert and authorized the issuance of bonds or notes in the amount of $464,875 for that same project. The motions were moved and seconded and carried by the council after roll call.
City staff did not provide a detailed project-by-project budget in the joint session beyond the Andrew Street culvert figures; councilors flagged a typographical correction to change “Andrew” to “Andrews” on two listed items before advancing the package. No dissenting votes were recorded in the meeting minutes for the resolutions.
