The chief said the additional radio cost reduces the anticipated change order and that staff identified an existing account to purchase some radios earlier, which lowered the appropriation needed. After questions from councilors and a brief discussion, the council approved the transfer and appropriation.
The appropriation was presented to the Board of Finance in advance; the chief noted new information surfaced after that meeting and provided the updated radio quote to the joint meeting. No further public comment was recorded on the item.
