Chester County Prison reports lower inmate population, program participation and ongoing security projects
The Warden reported Sept. 2025 average daily inmate population of 695 (down from 731 in Sept. 2024), medical and mental-health caseloads, institutional program participation (332), and two remaining 2025 capital/security projects. Video conference hearings saved an estimated $20,200.

The Warden presented the Chester County Prison’s September 2025 operational report at the Oct. 22 Board of Inspectors meeting, saying the average daily population for the month was 695, down from 731 in September 2024, and the total population on Sept. 30 was 697. The Warden reported zero juveniles housed during the month.
