LANSING — The House adopted House Resolution 203 on Nov. 4, declaring November 2025 as Diabetes Awareness Month in Michigan. Representative Van Werkom described the resolution in personal terms, referencing a family member’s Type 1 diabetes and urging colleagues to honor the roughly 923,000 Michiganders living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
