Cowlitz County staff told commissioners they have signed an agreement and started initial implementation with Doppler, a mass-notification vendor, after receiving three bids and staying below the purchasing threshold.
"We were able to have Mike sign that agreement, and we've actually already started kind of the beginning stage implementation of that system," Savannah Clement said (00:12:28). Staff members have met with Doppler twice to map the countys systems and union callout rules.
Clement said the county hopes to have something live in the next month and will report back with operational updates. No policy changes were proposed; the update was a procurement and implementation status report.
