Public services staff told commissioners the county completed a procurement for a Doppler mass-notification system after receiving three bids and executing the contract because it fell below the purchasing threshold. Savannah Clement said staff have begun initial meetings with the vendor and union representatives to integrate callout procedures and expect to have the system live in approximately a month.
