Library advisory board rejects proposal for Charlie Kirk display after extensive public comment

At a meeting of the Citrus County Library Advisory Board in Citrus County, a motion to develop a display commemorating Charlie Kirk failed after extended public comment and a board vote.

The motion, made by Mister Campbell and seconded by Missus Nelson, proposed "to develop a display to commemorate Charlie Kirk, to be determined as far as timing by the library staff." The board opened a balanced public-comment period and limited speakers to two minutes each before taking a vote. After the public input and board discussion the chair declared, "The motion fails." Mister Campbell and Missus Nelson voted for the motion; Missus Ebbets, Mister Reagan, Missus Ramlo, Missus Benefield and Missus Myers voted against it.
