Draft countywide thoroughfare plan presented; public hearing set for Feb. 10
Consultants presented a 14‑month master thoroughfare plan that maps future arterials and prioritizes corridors (FM 917, FM 2280, Burleson connector, FM 2738) for phased implementation. The plan includes updated design standards and policy recommendations and will be brought back for formal adoption after a public hearing on Feb. 10.

Consultants from Freese & Nichols presented a draft Johnson County Master Thoroughfare Plan at the Jan. 27 Commissioners Court meeting, describing a 14‑month study that combined population and employment forecasts, crash data, stakeholder and public input, and regional travel modeling to build a countywide arterial network designed to 2045.
