Wright County delays rescheduling of CD 19 public hearing after scheduling conflict

Wright County — The Wright County Board of Commissioners on July 3 discussed rescheduling a previously set public hearing on CD 19 and decided to table the scheduling decision to the board’s July 8 meeting.
Commissioner Duchin recalled that the public hearing on CD 19 had been scheduled for Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. and said staff and the engineer had scheduling conflicts that prompted a proposed new date of Aug. 14 at 1 p.m. “That date and time does work for the engineer,” Duchin said, noting staff had other meetings on Aug. 11.
Another commissioner said Aug. 14 would not work because of a conference in Duluth, and the board discussed whether Commissioner Dietrich could attend. Faced with the uncertainty, Duchin proposed tabling the item. “What I can do is we’ll just table it to July 8,” he said. The board agreed to return to the scheduling question at the July 8 meeting.
No formal vote to adopt a new hearing date was taken at the July 3 meeting; the item was deferred so the board could confirm availability of members and staff before setting a new date.
