The City of Parkland Community Advisory Board voted to schedule its first meeting of 2026 for Tuesday, Jan. 13, with the understanding that members will confirm their availability and staff will cancel or reschedule if the board lacks a quorum.

Jackie Weymayer, the city's senior director of strategy and intergovernmental affairs, recommended Jan. 13 as the next regular meeting date. Board members raised conflicts with other dates; staff clarified the process for cancelling a meeting requires at least three days' notice. The board approved Jan. 13 by unanimous voice vote and asked staff to solicit individual confirmations from members to ensure a quorum.

Staff will notify members individually (not via reply-all) and will cancel or reschedule if quorum requirements cannot be met with sufficient notice.
