Key items reported included: approval of site plans and extraterritorial survey maps; approval of land-use and zoning for the Rainbow Lake subdivision (one- and two-family units on the city—s north end); approval of site-plan changes for a Mister Car Wash project pending traffic analysis; and preliminary approvals related to a Culver—s restaurant taking over an existing property on South Main pending a traffic study. The plan commission also approved site plans for public sculptures at Riverside Park and the Village Greenway.
Staff noted the Rainbow Lake project will extend existing platted streets and replace an aging foundation and that neighbors generally supported the plan. Several approvals were conditional on outstanding traffic analyses or additional documentation.
Planning staff said a public hearing will be set next month for a proposed multifamily development at Paradise and River Road. Developers and property owners were encouraged to complete required traffic studies and final site documentation before permits are issued.
