Finance committee accepts $1,703 We Energies Foundation grant to replace tactical medical kits

The Finance Committee voted Sept. 8 to accept a $1,703 Responders Grant from the We Energies Foundation to replace tactical medical kits assigned to West Bend—s special response team.
Chief Daring told the committee that staff identified time-sensitive and expiring components in the team—s kits earlier this summer and that Captain Grinwald applied for the grant on the department—s behalf. The grant was awarded in full on Aug. 12 and the funds were placed in the police department state grant fund.
Committee members moved and seconded acceptance of the grant; a voice vote carried the resolution. The chief expressed thanks to the We Energies Foundation for the award.
