At its July 8 meeting the St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission recorded and approved the following motions (listed with the agenda brief and the commission outcome):
- Approve minutes from June 10: Motion carried (unanimous among attending commissioners).
- Approve monthly financial report as presented and accept staff explanations on fund 4302 and parcel analyses: recorded and accepted.
- Approve Amendment No. 1 with Lochmuller Group (Lisonbee/State Road 2 interchange; revised county contract $3.1M): Motion carried.
- Approve one'time increase to Lawson Fisher Associates on-call agreement (to $150,000): Motion carried.
- Approve Addendum No. 1 with Lawson Fisher Associates for frontage road design (add $362,187; total just over $1,000,000): Motion carried.
- Approve temporary power easement IN251022 across redevelopment property: Motion carried.
- Approve temporary power easement IN251021: Motion carried.
- Approve temporary power easement IN251020: Motion carried.
- Approve right of entry for permanent-power survey, southwest corner of Edison & Walnut: Motion carried.
- Approve right of entry for permanent-power survey, northeast corner of Early & Walnut: Motion carried.
- Grant permission to advertise for two structure projects (Rogers Clark Ditch and Gordon Road/Nespejani Ditch): Motion carried.
- Approve Resolution 2025-08 consenting to assignment of a ground lease for a 25.9-acre parcel (AM General/GM parking): Motion carried.
- Approve exercise of option to purchase the 25.9-acre parcel under Article XXII (begin appraisal/sale process): Motion carried.
- Approve professional service proposal to engage Steve Santee for appraisal services: Motion carried.
- Approve professional service proposal to engage Iverson Grove for appraisal services: Motion carried.
All motions on the published agenda were approved by the commission during the July 8 meeting; staff will implement the approved contracts and return with updates on reimbursement negotiations, survey and environmental studies, and appraisal results as appropriate.
