Fulshear updates zoning code, downgrades McKinnon Road classification
The council adopted amendments to the coordinated development ordinance and the city—s major thoroughfare plan to clarify commercial design standards, move telecom rules into the CDO, restrict electronic sign displays, and reclassify McKinnon Road from a major thoroughfare to a major collector.

The Fulshear City Council on Sept. 16 adopted ordinance 2025-1502 to amend the Coordinated Development Ordinance (CDO), including updates to Articles 2, 3 and 9 and Appendix B (the Major Thoroughfare Plan). Council also approved a companion ordinance (2025-1510) amending the comprehensive plan to reflect the new thoroughfare map.
