Commission denies Rain Valley RV park amid traffic, drainage and water concerns

The Planning and Zoning Commission voted to deny docket SU24‑21, a proposal to build a 60‑space recreational vehicle park on approximately 23 acres along Highway 82 near Whetstone. The motion to approve failed; commissioners cited safety concerns on Highway 82, drainage and stormwater impacts, water‑supply questions and extensive neighborhood opposition.
