Commission approves combined Johnson Controls contract to replace obsolete building controls
Christian County approved a four‑year cooperative contract with Johnson Controls to combine two previously separate agreements and upgrade an obsolete control box and related PC for a critical county facility. Commissioners voted Sept. 25 to award a four‑year facilities and building automation services agreement to Johnson Controls, consolidating two earlier quotes into one contract scheduled to run through April 30, 2029. Purchasing staff and the county’s facilities representatives told the commission the upgrade addresses obsolete components for a central control box that coordinates HVAC and alarms for the Circuit Board Building.
