The Wausau Board of Public Works approved a change order that reduces the contract amount by $10,613 for the Cherry Street lift station replacement and accepted revised completion dates.
Staff said the city purchased the generator receptacle and manual transfer switch directly, which resulted in savings. The board also discussed that the contractor experienced supplier issues: a pump specified in the contract could not be provided by a supplier the city had concerns about, which delayed the project’s start. The board and staff said they reviewed revised completion dates with the contractor (Integrity Grading & Excavating), the city consultant and that "Ben" was comfortable with the schedule adjustments.
A motion to approve the change order and the revised dates was moved, seconded and approved by the board. The transcript contains no record of dissenting votes.
