At a public hearing the commission considered a modification to Condition 3 for the Gilbert Gateway Commerce Park approval. Applicant Keith Newman requested the condition be clarified to state that only the cul‑de‑sac portion of Sparrow Court (the hatched portion shown in applicant materials) is to be abandoned — consistent with the council‑approved zoning ordinance (ordinance 29 50) — rather than implying abandonment of the entire Sparrow Court right‑of‑way. The applicant asked that abandonment be required before building permit issuance.
