County updates on CDBG-MIT, FEMA recovery and hazard-mitigation projects
Staff reported on four CDBG-MIT projects tied to flood recovery from Feb. 15–16 and said engineers (Walker Partners) are performing preliminary engineering. The county expects bids next summer and is seeking a time extension to assemble project schedules for FEMA PDMG requirements, with a Nov. 17 target to submit a draft schedule.

County staff updated the court on recovery projects funded through Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) and FEMA processes following 2024 flood damage. Walker Partners is performing preliminary engineering and the county’s grantee manager is Langford; staff reported they expect to bid projects in June–July of next year and that engineers recommended packaging the projects as a single bid packet for efficiency.
