Coryell County forms IT transition team as vendor visits this week
The court approved a county IT transition team to coordinate a vendor change to Goldsmith Solutions; the vendor is scheduled for on-site assessments Thursday and Friday and department-specific transition plans will follow. The team will inventory hardware, review licensing and advise procurement and policy for IT services and security.

Commissioner Scott Weddell proposed a county IT transition team to coordinate the transition to Goldsmith Solutions, which the county intends to engage for managed IT services. Weddell read a proposed slate of members including the county judge, elected officials and department staff: Judge Roger Miller; Commissioner Scott Weddell; Justin Carruthers (tax assessor-collector); Jennifer Newton (county clerk); Sergeant Spencer (sheriff's office); County Attorney Brandon Belt; and Road & Bridge administrator Justin Latham.
