Freestone County officials said the county’s books required corrections after posting errors retroactively altered April balances, delaying the completion and submission of the auditors’ report for the prior fiscal year. The treasurer told the court staff identified the posting errors, completed reconciliations through September and were working to finalize September entries before the audit could be filed.
