The $3.5 million design will add dedicated left and right turn lanes in each direction and upgrade the existing intersection to reduce delays and improve traffic flow.
The town said it will continue to pursue additional funding opportunities to support future widening of Hunt Highway both east and west of Attaway. Work by Banneke Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and wrap up by summer, Randall said. “We’re building a better Florence, one project at a time,” she said.
